Dr. Juma has had the opportunity to study all around the world. His high school education was completed in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. On the decision to pursue a career in dentistry, Dr. Juma traveled to the midst of the rainforest in Karnataka, India where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Manipal University. On completion of his Internship, he followed his dreams to live in the inspiring and iconic New York City for the next level of education. Dr. Juma attended New York University College of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Founded in 1865 as the New York College of Dentistry, with 31 students and 10 faculty members, the College is now located located at 1st Ave. and 24th St. in the heart of Manhattan. The College officially merged with New York University in 1925, which led to the promotion of research and postdoctoral education. Today NYUCD is recognized as a leading source for dental care in New York City and a leader in research and national policy issues in dentistry. NYUCD offers training annually to over 1,600 students from all over the U.S. and nearly 50 countries. In addition to educating health professionals, NYUCD endeavors to improve the health of the highly diverse populations in New York City and around the world. NYUCD is well on its way to becoming the dental institution in the world with the greatest impact on the health of society.

The Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) is a part of Manipal University located in Manipal, Karnataka, India. MCODS, Manipal is the first self-financing dental college in the private sector of India. Established in the year 1965, it initially had an intake of 40 students which has risen to 100 undergraduate students, 250 dental chairs and state-of-the-art facilities. It has grown to be the top rated college in the country, according to a survey by the magazine “Outlook” in June, 2009. This feat was repeated yet again in 2010 when MCODS Manipal was ranked first among the institutes providing dental education.

Old Scona Academic High School is a high school located in the Old Strathcona district of Edmonton, Alberta. It is a small academic high school with a population of approximately 340 to 360 students. The school's stated purpose is to provide academically inclined students an opportunity to grow in an environment of intellectual stimulation. The school's motto is, "Always to Excel".
Old Scona Academic has been recognized as one of the best high schools in Canada and one of the top I.B. schools in the world. In 2005, Maclean's Magazine named OSA as the top academic high school in Canada. In addition to its Maclean's ranking, OSA has consistently been ranked by the Fraser Institute as the best high school in Alberta.In 2011, it was featured as the top ranked high school in the Edmonton Sun's High School Report Card.
